Conference Location and Conference Office

The conference is held at the Building of the Institute of Computer Science at the campus Heide-Süd, Von-Seckendorff-Platz 1, see also number 38 on the map. The building is reached by a three minutes walk from tram stop Strassburger Weg. There is a large public car park in front of the building.

During the conference week (Monday to Friday), the conference office will also be in the building Von-Seckendorff-Platz 1. On Sunday, September 3, 2006 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the local registration takes place in the lobby of the "InterCityHotel Halle-Neustadt".

Social Program

The conference dinner is held at the Hotel "InterCityHotel Halle-Neustadt" on Thursday, September 7, 2006 starting at 7 p.m.

You are invited to an excursion to the town of Freyburg on the banks of the River Unstrut on Wednesday, September 6, 2006. A bus is leaving from the conference venue at 1 p.m. and returns to Halle at 7 p.m. On our tour of Freyburg we will visit the Rotkäppchen Sektkellerei and taste the locally produced sparkling wine. You will also have the chance to visit some of the other attractions in Freyburg or walk along the River Unstrut to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Accommodation in the Hotel "InterCityHotel Halle-Neustadt"

The InterCityHotel Halle-Neustadt (formerly known as Magistralen Carré) offers special rates for participants of NUMDIFF11 (single room for EUR 49,- per night and double room for EUR 64,- per night). These rates include breakfast and with your hotel pass you can use the public transport within Halle for free. Please make your reservation at the hotel before June 30, 2006 using the fax form (pdf) provided. Please use the code NUMDIFF11 (for the special offer) in all your correspondence with the hotel.

The hotel will be the venue of the Conference Dinner (September 7, 2006).

Accommodation in the Youth Hostel

We were able to reserve a limited number of places in the Youth Hostel in Halle. We would like to give these places to participants with limited financial resources. The accommodation in the Youth Hostel is provided under the following conditions:

price per night and per person including breakfast is approximately 14 EUR;
male and female persons have to sleep in different rooms;
the rooms have 4 beds; showers and toilets are on the corridor and not en suite;
there is an extra fee of 3 EUR for sheets.

We require your written confirmation before June 20, 2006 if you would like to have a place in the Youth Hostel. Please include the date of arrival, date of departure, your date of birth and whether you are male or female in this confirmation letter and send this letter to the NUMDIFF11 conference office.
